What You Need to Know about Heavy Metals & Nanotechnology
Heavy metals are harmful to the body because they are toxic and can accumulate in various tissues, leading to adverse health effects. Heavy metals are naturally occurring elements found in the environment, but human activities such as industrial processes, mining, and pollution have increased their presence in air, water, and soil. When heavy metals enter the body through ingestion, inhalation, or skin contact, they can disrupt normal biological processes, causing cellular damage and organ dysfunction.
Heavy metals can interfere with enzyme functions and disrupt essential biochemical pathways. For example, lead can replace calcium in bones, disrupting bone health and inhibiting neurotransmitter release, affecting cognitive function in children. Mercury can disrupt protein synthesis and nerve transmission, leading to neurological and developmental issues. Additionally, heavy metals like cadmium can interfere with kidney function and impair detoxification processes, leading to kidney damage and toxicity.
Heavy metals can generate oxidative stress by producing free radicals that damage cells and DNA. This oxidative stress can cause inflammation and weaken the body's defense mechanisms, making it more susceptible to diseases and accelerating aging processes. Prolonged exposure to heavy metals can lead to chronic health conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, respiratory problems, and certain cancers.
Heavy metals can accumulate in the body over time, particularly in organs like the liver, kidneys, and brain. This accumulation can have long-term effects on health, as the body has limited mechanisms to eliminate these elements efficiently. Some heavy metals, such as lead and mercury, can cross the blood-brain barrier and affect brain function, leading to cognitive deficits and neurological disorders.
Overall, the harmful effects of heavy metals on the body are a result of their toxic nature, interference with biological processes, generation of oxidative stress, and long-term accumulation. Reducing exposure to heavy metals and addressing contamination in the environment is crucial to protecting human health and preventing potential health issues associated with heavy metal toxicity.
Heavy Metal & Environmental Detoxification
Heavy metal detoxification is a process aimed at removing toxic heavy metals from the body, which can accumulate due to environmental exposure, certain occupations, or dietary sources. Environmental detoxification, on the other hand, refers to practices and strategies aimed at reducing overall toxic burden and promoting a healthier environment.
When it comes to heavy metal detoxification, there are various approaches that can be employed, including:
Chelation Therapy: This is a medical treatment that involves the administration of chelating agents, such as EDTA, DMSA, or DMPS, which bind to heavy metals in the body and facilitate their elimination through urine or feces.
Nutritional Support: Certain nutrients and supplements, such as vitamin C, glutathione, alpha-lipoic acid, and various minerals, can support the body's natural detoxification pathways and aid in the elimination of heavy metals.
Herbal Remedies: Certain herbs, such as cilantro, chlorella, and spirulina, have been traditionally used to support detoxification processes in the body and may have potential benefits in heavy metal detoxification.
Sauna Therapy: Sweating through sauna therapy can help eliminate toxins, including some heavy metals, through the skin.
Dietary Changes: Consuming a nutrient-dense diet that emphasizes fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins can provide the body with essential nutrients needed for detoxification and support overall health.
It's important to note that heavy metal detoxification should be approached with caution and under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. Testing for heavy metal toxicity and working with an experienced practitioner can help determine the most appropriate detoxification strategies for individual needs.
In terms of environmental detoxification, it involves minimizing exposure to environmental toxins and pollutants. This can include adopting sustainable lifestyle practices, using natural and non-toxic cleaning and personal care products, reducing exposure to harmful chemicals, improving indoor air quality, and supporting environmental conservation efforts.
Diatomaceous Detox
Diatomaceous earth (DE) is a fine powder made from the fossilized remains of tiny aquatic organisms called diatoms. It is often used for various purposes, including pest control, filtration, and as a dietary supplement. Some people also use diatomaceous earth for detoxification purposes, claiming that it can help remove toxins from the body.
The idea behind diatomaceous detox is that the porous structure of diatomaceous earth allows it to absorb and trap toxins, heavy metals, and other impurities as it passes through the digestive system. Supporters of diatomaceous detox believe that taking diatomaceous earth internally can help cleanse the body and improve overall health.
Diatomaceous earth (DE) is a naturally occurring sedimentary rock made up of fossilized remains of diatoms, which are tiny aquatic organisms with silica-based shells. Food-grade diatomaceous earth is often used for various purposes, including as a dietary supplement to support detoxification in the body.
The mechanism by which diatomaceous earth helps to detoxify the body is attributed to its physical properties rather than any chemical action. When ingested, DE acts as a gentle abrasive substance with a porous structure.
As it passes through the digestive tract, it can bind to and absorb toxins, heavy metals, bacteria, parasites, and other harmful substances present in the gut.
Absorption of Toxins: Diatomaceous earth has a high surface area due to its fine and porous nature. This porous structure allows it to adsorb toxins and impurities as it moves through the digestive system. Toxins can adhere to the surface of the diatomaceous earth particles, preventing them from being absorbed by the body. As a result, these toxins are excreted from the body through bowel movements.
Colon Cleansing: The gentle abrasive quality of diatomaceous earth can help cleanse the colon and support regular bowel movements. By promoting bowel regularity, DE aids in eliminating waste and toxins from the body more efficiently, reducing the time toxins spend in the digestive system.
Beneficial Effect on Gut Health: Diatomaceous earth can also have a positive impact on gut health. It may help sweep away harmful pathogens and parasites that could be present in the digestive tract, creating a more balanced and healthier gut environment.
It's important to note that while diatomaceous earth can be used as a supplement to support detoxification, it is not a substitute for a well-balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, when consuming diatomaceous earth, it is essential to use the food-grade version and follow proper dosage guidelines to avoid any potential side effects. As with any dietary supplement, it is recommended to consult with a healthcare professional before adding diatomaceous earth to your routine, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions or are taking medications.
Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt
“We can eat aluminum all day long and you would not make us toxic. However, the moment we inhale the smallest amount of alumninum when there is glyphosate in our bodies, we get highly toxic.”
Dr. Klinghardt studied medicine from 1969 to 1975, and psychology from 1975 to 1979 in Freiburg, Germany, completing his PhD in the involvement of the autonomic nervous system in autoimmune disorders—very ahead of his time.
Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum herbicide and the active ingredient in many popular weed-killing products. Some studies have suggested a link between glyphosate exposure and various health issues, including cancer, reproductive problems, and endocrine disruption. Some countries have banned or restricted its use, while others consider it safe when used according to approved guidelines. Ongoing research and discussions continue to shed light on the potential risks and benefits of glyphosate use.
Nanotechnology & Toxicity
Nanotechnology is a field that involves the manipulation and control of materials at the nanoscale, which is the scale of atoms and molecules. While nanotechnology offers numerous potential benefits in various fields, including medicine, electronics, and energy, it is important to consider the potential toxicity of nanomaterials.
Some key points regarding nanotechnology and toxicity include:
Size-Dependent Effects:
At the nanoscale, materials can exhibit different properties compared to their bulk counterparts. Nanomaterials may have increased reactivity, surface area, and unique physical and chemical properties that can influence their toxicity. It is crucial to assess the specific characteristics of nanomaterials to understand their potential effects on human health and the environment.
Inhalation Exposure:
Nanoparticles can be inhaled and penetrate deep into the respiratory system. Depending on their properties, nanomaterials may have the potential to cause respiratory effects, inflammation, and damage to lung tissues. Studies have shown that certain types of nanoparticles can have adverse effects on lung cells and animal models.
Skin Penetration:
Some nanomaterials have the ability to penetrate the skin barrier, potentially leading to local or systemic effects. The skin is not an absolute barrier to nanoparticles, and factors such as particle size, surface charge, and surface coatings can influence their ability to penetrate the skin.
Environmental Impact:
Nanomaterials, when released into the environment, can interact with living organisms and ecosystems. They may have the potential to bioaccumulate, persist in the environment, or affect the behavior and physiology of organisms. Proper disposal and management of nanomaterials are important to minimize potential environmental impacts.
While nanotechnology has the potential to bring about significant advancements and benefits, there are concerns regarding its potential harmful effects on the body and the environment.
Some of the risks associated with nanotechnology include:
Some nanomaterials may have unique properties at the nanoscale that could be harmful to living organisms. For example, certain nanoparticles may be more reactive or have increased bioavailability, leading to potential toxic effects when they interact with biological systems. Research is ongoing to understand the specific toxicity of various nanomaterials and their potential impact on human health.
Nanoparticles are so small that they can easily enter the body through inhalation, ingestion, or skin contact. There are concerns that workplace exposure to certain nanomaterials, especially in manufacturing and production settings, may pose health risks to workers. Proper safety measures and risk assessment protocols are essential to minimize exposure to hazardous nanoparticles.
Some nanomaterials may have the ability to accumulate in certain organs or tissues, leading to potential long-term health issues. Understanding how nanomaterials are metabolized and eliminated from the body is crucial to ensuring their safe use.
Nanoparticles released into the environment through waste products or intentional use can potentially impact ecosystems and wildlife. Their small size and unique properties may allow them to enter the food chain, affecting organisms at various levels.
Nanotechnology is still a relatively new field, and long-term studies on the potential health and environmental impacts of various nanomaterials are ongoing. It is essential to continually monitor and assess the safety of nanotechnology applications as they become more prevalent.
Healing is a very personal journey and one that can be very difficult in our modern day. Seeing that there is a pill or prescription for every symptom under the sun, these “medicines” are far from natural. In fact, most medicines today are synthetic versions of their natural counterpart.
Having spent nearly 30 years on an expensive expedition to heal my scalp and body of inflammation, red scaly itchy patches doctors of medicine labeled psoriasis, it wasn’t until I attended natural medicine school over a decade ago that a new lifestyle awaited me. However, this new lifestyle took me another decade to figure out. It was truly a long, grueling process of trial and error.
What came from my studies as a natural medicine student was firstly, that the body is truly a powerful technology. In fact, when you understand its features, you’re way ahead of most. Our technology is miraculous; the only problem becomes: how do you use its features properly in order to heal?
While healing is truly an individual process, what works for one person may or may not work for another. Trust me, I know. I tried all “the things” that worked for others when it came to healing my scalp and body, but nothing worked. And I mean NOTHING.
That is until I paired natural medicine with magick. Literally, it was the last place I looked. Who would have thought that magick would have been the missing ingredient to my healing equation?
If you’re anything like me, you’re practical and logical when it comes to your health or perhaps you were also told that you can heal anything with a clean diet. I assure you, that is not always the case.
Natural Magick is a magickal blend of natural medicine and Natural Law that allows your technology to align back with Nature — because you are nature.
Natural Law sets the framework for healing. Natural medicine nourishes the mind, body, and spirit. But how does these two work together to heal?
Natural Law says that for every cause there MUST be an effect. If you are the cause, you will create an effect. The problem becomes when you say you want to heal, but then your feelings, emotions, and behaviors say something different. This creates incongruency in the astral plane; therefore the results you see in the physical plane are mediocre.
Natural Medicine nourishes the mind, body, and spirit allowing an alchemical process to take place inside of you — specifically, repairing the endocrine system which effects your emotional state. Our emotional state is one of the main culprits as to why people can’t heal.
In my new series inside the Inner Temple Magick Academy entitled Natural Magick, I will share my grimoires with you. This means, I am opening up my “book of spells” to share with you what natural remedies and magickal practices I implements in order to heal my chronic 30-year battle with a skin disorder.
Natural Magick is so powerful and potent, that once you get the hang of you, you’ll use this combination for just about anything — from bug bites to even the most annoying ailments!
