The Qliphoth originates in Qabalah, where it is described as the residue of creation—the fragments left behind after the vessels of divine light shattered during the process of emanation. In Western occultism, particularly in Hermetic Qabalah and Thelema, the Qliphoth is explored as the inverse of the Sephiroth, embodying the forces of chaos, imbalance, and ego.
