An egregore is a collective thought-form or psychic entity created by the shared focus, emotions, and intentions of a group. It exists as an independent energy form and can influence the individuals connected to it.

The term originates from the Greek word egrégoroi, meaning "watchers," and was later popularized in Western esotericism by authors such as Eliphas Levi and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Historically, it has been associated with collective consciousness and the power of unified thought.
